I agree ...we should not COMPLAIN about having elections. But I'm glad you also noted some people DON'T vote because none of the parties represent their beliefs. I recently blogged about that: the Tories disrespect Parliamanet and the public's right to information; the Libs and NDP support proposed legislation that would severely limit Westerners from Supreme Court appointments and the Greens have endorsed "separate" status ..kind of soverengty assocation ..for their Quebec wing. So what do I do? Stay away.
I think for myself from now on if I can't in good conscience vote for any candidate I will spoil my ballot. Not much different than not voting, I know, but at least I'm making the same effort as everyone else out voting.
